The most rewarding aspect of working with technology is the integration of technical skills with artistic vision. I naturally gravitate towards front-end development because of the emphasis on design and visual aesthetic. I am interested in further cultivating my design skills with advanced CSS3 properties and animations, and powerful design frameworks.

There is an artistry to the technical aspects of web development that feels almost symphonic. The clean and logical interplay of the various pages of code all working in concert to produce content that's clean, efficient, stylized, and responsive is appealing to me. I feel learning more back-end technologies will only improve my front-end skills. I have ambitions of becoming a full stack developer.

I am new to programming but am enthusiastic about learning new languages. I have begun my journey towards mastery in JavaScript and jQuery fundamentals, but I am also pursuing proficiency in C#, PHP, and Python.

My natural empathy and teaching skills have fostered an interest in UX/UI design and development. I know how to empathize with a variety of perspectives. New and unique user experiences are at the heart of the untapped potential of the web and I want to be a part of re-imagining how we use technology while preserving and realizing our humanity.

I have years of experience using Adobe Photoshop for a variety of personal and professional projects. I also have some fundamental experience with Adobe Illustrator. My familiarly with graphic design will aid me well in producing content for web development.

I'm a skilled amateur photographer with experience working with a digital SLR camera. I love travel and walking among the woods. Most of my photography is of nature and my travels.

I have years of amateur video production and editing experience. I have never worked in this field professionally but I am adept at video editing software and have taken courses in film theory and film production. My familiarly with working with video files will be useful while working in web development.

I have a familiary with audio production software including Audacity, GarageBand, and Reaper. My skills were showcased in a radio piece which aired on the Marc Steiner Show called Baltimore Traces: Communities In Transition – Part 5: Futures, which highlights the voices of Baltimoreans from the BROMO Arts and Entertainment District.

I've been a local musician of the Washington, DC area forming bands and playing shows for over half my life. I am a songwriter, guitarist, vocalist, and multimedia artist interested in folk, rock, and electronic music.

In my free time I read and write as often as I can. I have a love for historical fiction, epic fantasy, and political literature. Some of my favorite authors are J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, George Orwell, and Ursula K. Le Guin.

I'm an ESL teacher with over three years experience working in the field of education. I have taught students from a variety of age groups and from countries all over the world. I love teaching because it's an opportunity to interact with people across cultural boundaries. It's an experience that's as enriching for me as I hope it's instructive for my students.

In recent years I've become an avid amatuer homebrewer. My favorite drink to brew is the ancient honey wine beverage we call mead! My inner viking is satisfied by the sweet and spicy blends of fermented honey with hints of clove, juniper, and citrus peel. Maybe some day I'll start my own experience meadery.
