Jeffer Toobin
Journalist and legal analyst, Jeffrey Toobin has delivered in-depth coverage of nearly every major legal controversy in the past three decades. He has been a staff writer for The New Yorker since 1993 and the senior legal analyst for CNN since 2002.
Toobin covered the epic O.J Simpson case as it dramatically unfolded over the course of eight months in a shabby Los Angeles courtroom. The experience inspired to him to write the best-selling true-life thriller, The Run of his Life which was adopted into the mini-series American Crime Story: People vs. O.J by FX.
The series premiered February 2016 and features seasoned talent including Cuban Gooding Jr. as O.J. Simpson, John Travolta as Robert Shapiro, and Courtney B. Vance as Johnny Cochrane.
Throughout his career Toobin has profiled various judges on the Supreme Court. He compiled his insider knowledge in the book The Nine: Inside the Secret World of the Supreme Court which was critically acclaimed as one of the best books of the year by Time, Entertainment Weekly, and The Economist. His newest book American Heiress comes out in August 2016 and examines the kidnapping, crimes, and trial of Patty Hearst.
